Shendrone Squirt v2 Slammed Ducts w/ Various Height Offset
thingiverse
I have remixed the slammed ducts that https://www.dronecoproductions.com/ designed with different heights. I also made the changes to both the 75mm and 76mm ducts. The heigh difference will go from 3mm to 8mm. To determine what you need, measure the distance from the bottom of the duct to the bottom of your props. That should be the offset you need. For example, when I used the Brother Hobbies, 1407 motors I used the 8mm ducts. Even though the slammed ducts have little effects on the thrust, I still feel that the position of the ducts should change between the different motors you use. For example, 2203 motors will put the position of the propeller 4mm lower in the ducts than a 1407 motor. This is assuming the base of the motor mount is similar in height too. The ideal position for the prop in the ducts should be as low as possible but not outside of the duct. If I use the original slammed ducts with 1407 motors, the props will be around the very top of the ducts. And that would make the quad less efficient.
