Shelving Clamp

Shelving Clamp

I built this from scratch. It fits snugly over an 7/8" diameter rod commonly used in wire shelving racks. The wire shelving market has shifted to a 1" diameter rod, and clamps for the 7/8" rod are no longer available anywhere. This object is tapered and serves as a perfect replacement, even fitting seamlessly with the original part. Print Settings Printer: Geeetech i3 X Rafts: Not necessary Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.1mm Infill: 20% How I Designed This I struggled to get the taper just right. Tried various CAD programs, but none worked out as planned. Eventually, I loaded Blender and it resolved the taper issue, allowing me to achieve a near-perfect curve (no triangle lines). I also used Tinkercad to fine-tune the design.
