ShellStrike DS-6 Spring Spacer and Reinforcements

thingiverse

Spring Spacer for the Nerf ShellStrike DS-6 Blaster prints in two halves, making installation into the plunger head easy without removing the plunger rod. Check out the photo showing a yellow spacer. There's still room for spring compression, but I played it safe to avoid risking the weak plunger rod of the DS-6. If you're feeling adventurous and want to try z-scaling the spacer, it could potentially be up to 12mm tall - my current file is 8mm. Be aware: using an upgraded spring with the DS-6 blaster can put too much stress on the weak plunger rod, causing it to break. A spring spacer isn't as strong as an upgrade spring, but there's still a risk involved. Spring Stop Plate Reinforcement stiffens up the thin internal shell wall where the spring rests. Priming Reinforcement tabs fit snugly into the priming handle, increasing the surface area that engages with the priming rod to prevent it from breaking. Epoxy is recommended for extra security.
