The Shell Prelude FLNG, a floating liquefied natural gas platform, is currently the second-largest of its kind globally and the most expansive offshore facility constructed. Manufactured by Technip/Samsung Consortium (TSC) in South Korea, this engineering marvel serves a joint venture between Royal Dutch Shell, KOGAS, and Inpex. Measuring 488 meters long and 74 meters wide, the Prelude's steel body weighs over 260,000 tonnes; when fully loaded, it displaces more than 600,000 tonnes-a staggering five times the displacement of a Nimitz-class aircraft carrier. In an impressive display of creativity and skill, this model has been crafted from available images, albeit not up to scale, with some parts based on imaginative interpretation. The polygon count reaches 516,703, while the vertices total 644,469; however, clean geometry is provided, excluding polys other than for form. Render setup and advanced materials remain absent from this file, and UVW mapping has been implemented partially.
