Shell Fillers, UnoCart Cartridge Atari 8-Bit
thingiverse
Cosmetic filler pieces for the UnoCart cartridge shell are designed specifically for Atari 8-bit computers. These fillers prevent microSD cards from falling inside the shell during removal, reducing the risk of damage or loss. They also minimize light leakage from LEDs and reduce PCB rattle. UPDATE 6/15/2019: A replacement UnoCart shell is now available on Thingiverse at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3693840. To install the filler pieces, remove the screw on the back of the cartridge to separate the shell halves. Next, slide the front filler piece into place while keeping the protruding tab in back. You may need to lightly sand the filler to ensure a snug fit and adjust the length of the tab so that it keeps the piece securely in place. Cut away and smooth the ridge circled in the photo to make removal of the microSD card easier. To complete the installation, place two card guide fillers over the PCB on either side of the microSD socket as shown in the photo. The right filler should also fit around the LEDs. Finally, reassemble the shell halves. For more information about Robin Edwards' UnoCart, visit https://github.com/robinhedwards/UnoCart.
