Shelf System - All Inclusive - 25mm - 165mm

**Edit 7/3/2017**: **Shelf Bracket Upgrade!** I've designed a sturdier bracket with a "triangle" shape that holds the weight of my digital calipers in-box securely without flexing excessively. My previous shelf was too long to be unsupported, so I shifted the older STL files to the end and moved the new ones to the beginning. To assemble this version, you'll need to print at least 6 screws (100% infill recommended) and a single platform. One drawback of the reinforced design is that each bracket had to be printed separately due to limited bed space. **--End of Edits--** This shelf system has been revised and improved from its previous iteration (25mm width, 140mm length). The new version maintains the same desk width but extends the arms of the brackets and increases the shelf's length to 165mm. This barely accommodates my caliper box, but I plan to remix it again to fine-tune the center of gravity and add more features. If you have any suggestions or ideas, feel free to share them in the comments. I wanted a safe place to store my calipers on my desk's hutch with limited space at the top. I initially used headphone hooks for my 25mm top, which worked great, but I needed something that would provide additional storage. This is the second iteration of a shelf design from scratch that attaches to the desk like the headphone holders but has a platform. The previous version functioned well, but when I placed my caliper box on it, I felt like an extra inch was necessary for stability. If you find the previous platform length (140mm) and width (110mm) sufficient, go ahead and grab that Thing: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2365549 This is the newer version of the shelf with a greater platform length of 165mm and the same width (110mm). I've made slight adjustments to the brackets (they're taller) and provided some wiggle room in the screw holes for easier assembly. As with any design, there's always room for improvement, so I'm considering making tweaks to the brackets and shelf to achieve a more optimal center of gravity. I extended the desk hook part slightly to provide a better grip. If these hooks are too big for your application, try using stickers on the inside of the bracket where it contacts the top and/or bottom of the desk's shelf (like a shim). Some headphone hooks I've printed needed thin stickers, while others required more substantial ones to keep them from sliding off. If you're interested in different configurations – like wider openings or various platform sizes – just let me know. This version solved an itch of mine, and I finished it in just a few days.
