Shelf support for bookshelves with 5mm holes

prusaprinters

I created this to replace broken/missing shelf supports for bookshelves. They push into standard 5mm holes in the side of a bookcase. The spigot is deliberately octagonal rather than circular for better printing, and so that they have some give when pushed into the 5mm holes. The tab at the end is to allow them to be gripped with pliers to pull them out of the sides of the bookcase.

Instructions

You may need to adjust the size of the spigot in the OpenScad module, so that when printed on your printer they fir 5mm holes well. Because they are small, I recommend printing at least 4 of them at a time, so that each layer has time to cool before the next layer is printed.
Category: Replacement Parts
