The Challenge: I was caught off guard while trying to play something live without relying on my PC. Realizing I had no instruments with drums in my big synth rack, I felt a sudden sense of urgency. My trusty Roland JD-Xi was conveniently stored on the other side of the room. The Breakthrough: 3D printing came to my rescue. I repurposed a small wooden shelf above the rack, which normally held an unused monitor and keyboard. Measuring the JD-Xi and the shelf, I designed a custom bracket in FreeCAD to securely hold the synth at a precise 50-degree angle. The Share: I'm aware this might be a niche solution, but I'm sharing it in the hopes that someone will find it useful. To make things easier, I've included the original FreeCAD source file for anyone who wants to give it a try.
