Shelf Mount for Cheap DC/DC Power Supply
thingiverse
These affordable DC/DC power supplies, priced around $30, can be easily found on online marketplaces like Amazon and eBay. When choosing one, make sure to select a unit that meets your specific requirements. Since these units do not come with an enclosure, you will need to design or acquire one yourself. I decided to mount mine from the edge of my desk using a shelf, allowing for easy expansion by adding more modules as needed. This particular setup draws DC power from a 12v supply located on the shelf above. However, this solution does not address the issue of managing any AC/DC converters used in conjunction with these units. To create this enclosure, I printed it upside down. If you choose to replicate this design, be sure to measure the width of your shelf and verify that your banana plugs fit within the available space. Additionally, ensure that your device is compatible with the size requirements for this type of module. For added stability, I attached a command strip between the front edge of the shelf and the enclosure, preventing it from shifting if wires are accidentally pulled.
