Shelf Extender Brackets

Shelf Extender Brackets

We had some extra pegs and leftover wood to add another much-needed shelf in our kitchen cabinet. Unfortunately, the depth of the wood we had fell short by a few inches. After a few minutes of planning and a couple hours of printing, I saved myself several dollars and a 20-minute trip to the hardware store! I know this isn't a one-stop solution for everyone, but it should provide a little extra room as long as you're using wood that's 3/4 inch thick. You'll need to allow 1-2mm of clearance on either side of your shelf to fit the bracket over and have space between the edge of the shelf board and the cabinet. There is a screenshot of the model with dimensions so that you can get an idea of if it will work for you. If not, I hope it can inspire you to create your own version! Instructions Print both brackets. The bracket marked "L" will be on your left if you're holding the shelf and pointing the bracket away from you. The one marked "R" will go on the other end of the shelf on your right side.
