Shelf Bracket

Shelf Bracket

thingiverse

I wanted to install some compact shelves, but just before I went to purchase some shelf supports, I realized I could simply design and print my own instead. 3D printing presents a perfect opportunity to create unique decor that's more to my taste than what's available in stores. How I Designed This Recently, I visited Barcelona and took a close look at Gaudi's architecture, which, while not really my cup of tea, is undoubtedly the work of a genius. Although most of his work seems overly elaborate to me, there are aspects that are very innovative and beautiful, and the intricate curves seem to scream out for the advent of 3D printing. These brackets draw inspiration from a small part of his Sagrada Familia, where he employed intersecting hyperboloid windows. It's surprisingly easy to create hyperboloids in OpenSCAD since they're conic sections.
