The shelf board in question hailed from a China cupboard within the captain's quarters on the Betsy, a British vessel that met its demise during the American Revolution. It was meticulously 3D scanned using a Go!Scan 50 on February 23, 2018. Due to the delicate nature of this preserved artifact, one side that rested against a flat surface remained unscanned. The Virginia Department of Historic Resources extends its gratitude for allowing access to this remarkable relic.
