Shelf

Shelf

thingiverse

To extend storage space and seperate the cooking area from the dining area i designed a shelf for the cooking island. It is based on steel tubes (outer diameter 34mm; wall thickness 1.8mm) that are fixed to the cooking island by conical flange like printed parts. Each flange is fixed by 4 chipboard screws (spax - 4x20mm). The shelf boards are also fixed by conical brackets. The bracket itself is fixed by a M4 nut and a grub screw (you can use standard M4 screws, too). The board just lays on the brackets. The shelf isn't installed already. So the photos are only from testing scenario. As soon as the shelf is built up i attach pics from the real scenario. This was my first fully self designed/made printing project for real life. If you have tips for improvement - let me know.
