Sheet Metal Staircase

This is an internal staircase for a project done towards the end of 2020. I created this model based on a architects drawing but with some changes made to suit fabrication. The steps were to be 10mm mild steel plates for the going and rise, but I changed these to 6mm folded sheet metal sections. There was also originally a second 10mm internal stringer. This was removed because it was doing nothing but adding weight to an already very heavy project.The stringers have been split to make transport and assembly easier. And the handrail has been broken down into sections which were fabricated in the workshop. The final job was able to be delivered to site and all pieces bolted into place. This CAD model is not the actual final job, but this is very close to what was actually installed.
