Here's my custom designed mount to integrate the BMG directly into the Ender3's drive system. No permanent changes are needed on the Ender3; just extend the wires to the carriage. I cut the parts from 2mm aluminum sheet metal using my R7 CNC, then formed them with a vice-mounted press brake. The finished pieces were powder-coated with a Harbor Freight gun and baked in a toaster oven. I'm sharing my files in native Solidworks format, as well as Fusion360, X_T, STEP, 3D-PDF, and 2D drawings in PDF and DWG. You can print the 2D files at full scale to cut out the parts by hand if you don't have a CNC machine for cutting metal. With this modification, printing with many retractions is effortless, and flexible filament poses no problem. Check out my YouTube video below to see me printing Sainsmart TPU at 35mm/s without any issues.
