This is the embryonic neural tube of a sheep at Carnegie stage 15 - 16, which marks exactly 36 to 39 days into development. Observe how it clearly displays the emerging diencephalon and eye stalks forming within. These highly detailed models were created from actual serial histological data as part of a graduate research project for the MSc in Medical Visualisation and Human Anatomy programme that Keiran Tait completed back in 2019.
