Sheela3D_Kilkenny-Gardens - Possible
sketchfab
This carving stands proudly outside St Canice's cathedral in Kilkenny, easily spotted near the top of St Canice's Steps along Coach Road at (52.656337, -7.256686). It seems the stone has been deliberately disfigured, sparking speculation that it might be a Sheela-na-gig, even though confirmation is out of reach. Still, it's worth noting the stone for future reference. A close look reveals what appears to be a head with two misshapen ears and a high forehead. In the middle, a large nose-like feature catches the eye, accompanied by a short body. The stone seems to be part of a medieval wall's quoin, making it hard to envision a larger body, given that Sheela's are typically carved on a single piece of stone.
