Shear - A Cigar Cutter
thingiverse
The Shear is a guillotine-style cigar cutter that features an easy-to-replace utility knife razor blade for cutting. Its advantage lies in the affordability and accessibility of the blade, as only half of it is used before being flipped for a sharp edge. This design surpasses conventional cigar cutters with fixed blades that become useless when dull. A 6-32 x 3/8 machine screw and nut are required, which can be found in hardware stores like Lowe's and Home Depot for approximately $1.00, or a 10mm M3 screw and M3 nut as an alternative. The assembly process involves installing the utility blade into the carriage, placing it onto the frame rails, attaching the lid with a nut, and fastening all parts together. Your Snip cigar cutter is then ready for use! This project is by Relative Design, with more projects available on Thingiverse under the relative_design tag.
