FUN FACT Fawcett Comics stopped publishing the original Captain Marvel/Shazam series in the 1950s. In the 1960s, Marvel Comics trademarked the name Captain Marvel for their own Kree superhero, forcing DC to use the character's transformation cry "Shazam!" as the title when they licensed the Fawcett characters in 1972.
