A flower-shaped base supports forked holders, scaled to cradle a shaving brush and razor with precision. A ring adorns the top, designed for effortless handling and subtle symbolism. Crafted from pink filament, this object embodies feminine flair, contrasting sharply with its intended demographic: men who use it daily. However, beneath its dainty exterior lies a subversive commentary on male grooming rituals. Shaving reveals the softer, more delicate aspects of masculinity, counterintuitively appealing to traditional masculine traits like beards. By donning a smoother look, men inadvertently tap into their own femininity, inviting reflection on what it means to conform to societal expectations. Assembly requires only a tiny dab of glue to connect the pieces securely. This design project originated from an academic assignment that pushed me to question and explore themes surrounding male grooming habits.
