SHAVING SAFETY RAZOR BOX

SHAVING SAFETY RAZOR BOX

thingiverse

I was searching for a shaving box, but somehow I couldn't find what I needed, so I decided to create my own 3D print version. The razor itself was another problem until I found one from Viking Blade that now makes me happy with it. If you guys are interested in ordering this, I've included screen shots, and it comes with a paper box containing a mirror. I disassembled the original box, took out the mirror, and used it myself. The magnet diameter is 5/16 x 1/16; you can modify the design if you want to use different magnets, but make sure not to do heat press on them because they will lose their magnetic properties - just use glue instead. I added threads for better grip to the top and bottom pins for hinges. For this demo, I used ABS, but I recommend PETG; it has much better layer bonding. I'm including SolidWorks files so feel free to modify them as you like. When printing pins for hinges, make sure to print at least four at a time - my printer doesn't seem to work correctly if I choose just one. I always print in batches of four. The design features a strong magnetic latch that won't open by itself, and I've also added some small holes in different places for ventilation purposes. I hope you like the design; enjoy using it!
