Modeling was done with solid engineering expertise using SolidWorks. All formats needed for successful implementation and rendering are included: * *.sldprt: 3D CAD files native to SolidWorks * *.slddrw: 2D drawings from SolidWorks in DWG format * *.sldasm: assembly parts created with SolidWorks Autodesk Inventor models were also implemented with the following file formats: *.ipt and *iam: CAD assemblies made in AutoCAD * *.idw and *.ipn: sheet layouts designed specifically for 2D drawing tasks * *.dwg and more for collaboration with different CAD users and stakeholders The team also added additional file types that ensure compatibility: 3DS Max uses: * max To be specific: * Rhinoceros format for advanced geometry modeling: *.3dm. These formats support NURBS-based models as well as various export and import capabilities.
