Shattered Faceted Light

Shattered Faceted Light

Inspired by a discarded light bulb, this innovative design can be fitted over an existing light fixture - in my case, I sought to revamp an old Ikea lamp that worked flawlessly, but the lampshade was outdated and unsightly. Often, outdated products like this are too easily discarded, when with a bit of 3D printing, they can be reimagined and given a new lease on life. The smallest interior diameter is 31mm, so simply ensure that you can slide this over your intended light fixture - if not, just scale the print up to fit. This particular print was accomplished using an Up! Plus 2, with a layer thickness of 0.2mm. Minimal support material was required.
