This little add-on lets you transform your printer into a plotter. It's ideal for creating schematics for alignment (like holes) without printing an entire object. It can also be used for tasks that most any other (low-end) plotter can handle. This is helpful when you're in a pinch, yet need something plotted. Please note: this design is made to fit snugly on the dual extruder carriage of the Replicator 1/2x. Print Settings Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Notes: Although this device prints fairly straightforward with no problems, there are some things to know when using Sharpiebot. The g-code needs to be edited so Sharpiebot can print correctly. I used Slic3r to run Sharpiebot because 1, you can edit the start code to eliminate the x homing (the Sharpiebot doesn't make contact with the x limit switch), and 2, Slic3r raises the extruder from the build platform, so the sharpie doesn't drag on areas where it's not supposed to. When removing the original extruder head, BE SURE TO DISCONNECT THE STEPPER MOTOR WIRES so they don't run amok.
