This is a compact sharpie holder, designed with simplicity in mind. I already have a clamp that securely holds items up to 20mm in diameter. I had a 1/2in x 2in spring at my disposal, with a wire diameter of .03in that allowed the sharpie to fit snugly inside. With this spring as my starting point and the need to accommodate my existing 20mm clamp for my CNC router table in mind, I crafted this holder accordingly. The design includes internal steps that cradle the spring while still allowing it to compress and permit the sharpie to pass through with ease.
