Sharpie_8Pen_Helix_holder

Update: Added two slot and four slot optional extenders so you can make these as tall as you dare. :)\nI decided to remix the pen holder for 13.4mm and eight Sharpie pens, instead of sixteen. This should also fit the thin Expo whiteboard markers. Printed fine on my MP Prusa i3.\nSuggested Print Process:\nPrint the "DNA_Helix_Sharpie_Pen_Holder_13mm_BothParts02.stl" STL file\nAfter printing, remove two parts from print bed.\na. bottom of helix is outer print\nb. top of helix is inner print.\nAssemble with glue or your favorite adhesive to make the bond permanent. (I used super glue).\nInsert pens and display.\nOptional Extender Instructions: (For those with more pens and/or just want to go taller)\nPrint the original file "DNA_Helix_Sharpie_Pen_Holder_13mm_BothParts02"\nPick either the two or four slot extender design and print a pair for each level you want to add.\nThe four slot extender is going to be a challenging print. I suggest using hairspray, glue stick, or whatever trick you use to stick a design that tends to lean. If you are having problems with the taller four slot design, switch to using two sets of the two slot design (easier to print).\nAfter printing these, they should fit between the top and bottom parts of the original print design. Use super glue or krazy glue to make permanent.\nAnother benefit of the extenders is that you can make the design more colorful by printing in different filament shades.\nI also have a pencil version here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1803253\nPrint Settings:\nPrinter: Maker Select i3 and PowerSpec Ultra\nRafts: No\nSupports: No\nResolution: 0.20\nInfill: 20%
