I decided to save money by creating my own IR sensor cover using a Sharp GP2Y0A21YK0F datasheet I downloaded from their website. The original sensor was way too pricey, so I opted for an alternative solution. I bought the necessary components like LED IR Infrared Emitter and Receiver Diode, carefully placed them inside the custom-made cover, and now I have a functional mimic version of the expensive Sharp GP2Y0A21YK0F IR sensor.
