I utilized the technical documentation from Sharp to generate a CAD file of a hobby infrared distance-measuring sensor (Sharp GP2Y0A21). Most measurements were accurately reflected as stated by Sharp; however, I encountered several unlisted specifications, such as the height of the white PCB connector and the dimensions of its rear section. Furthermore, I discovered that the main base was significantly shorter than initially claimed, approximately 7mm in contrast to the listed 9.2mm. I have acquired digital calipers and intend to re-evaluate some estimated measurements to refine the model's precision.
