SharkBite (Push Fit Connector) Removal Clip
thingiverse
This is a removal clip for SharkBite fittings designed with functionality in mind. A standard clip may not provide enough grip, leading to difficulty handling the device. I developed an enhanced model that includes flanges allowing you to firmly grasp it. The design accommodates a 1/2" size, but can easily be scaled up or down according to your needs. There are three available file formats to cater to different requirements: - Plain: This version is equivalent to what you would find at home improvement stores everywhere. - 2Grip: This variant boasts two finger supports on either side of the clip, increasing the area for pressing down. - 3Grip: This design features three finger supports spaced evenly apart (90 degrees) with an exception on one side where the opening is located. The files were created using Autodesk Inventor 2013 software. To create the model, follow these steps: First, print the 2-grip model using a combination of four upper and four lower layers at a 30% infill rate, with .3mm layer height from ABS plastic material. The resulting item will be incredibly robust and resistant to stress. If your version shows up slightly tight, consider scaling it to 1.01 for optimal results. For pipes of the larger size (3/4 inches), scale both the X-axis and Y-axis dimensions by a factor of 1.52, while maintaining the same Z-dimension value of 1.
