Shark Upright Extension Wand Release Tab
thingiverse
The release tab on my Shark Navigator NV356E Upright Vacuum's extension wand (Shark Part #160FFJ) recently broke, making it necessary to wrap the extension cord around the extension wand once or twice to use the vacuum. I easily removed the broken tab with a flat head screwdriver and lifted up the plastic cover. I then used TinkerCAD to model a replacement tab. Unfortunately, my first print attempt broke within the first second of use, so I modified the design for added strength. The new design is significantly stronger than the original, but it does require more force to push the tab back into place when putting the extension wand away. I'm sharing the STL file in case anyone else needs a replacement tab, as these parts are unfortunately not sold separately. I hope this helps someone else who has encountered the same issue. Please note that this tab is specifically designed for the Shark Navigator Lift-Away Vacuums NV356E, NV356, NV355, NV355C, NV357, and NV358 models. However, it's best to consult Shark's customer support to confirm compatibility before printing.
