Shark Head Pen Pencil holder
thingiverse
Mark Geoghegan's Pinshapes design was modified by me to hold pens and pencils, thanks to his permission. The original shark head design wasn't intended for holding writing utensils. I hollowed out the inside of the design using Tinkercad to make room for pens and pencils. The model was then scaled up and finished through a series of steps: sanding, filling, more sanding, priming, and airbrushing details. Acrylic paints were used for coloring, with Behr gloss cement sealer from Home Depot applied for the clear coat. Six coats of clear were applied, with wet sanding in between each coat to achieve a smooth finish. The print job required 18 hours at 4800 mm/min, with a layer height of 0.2, and used a 15% infill and supports. Be cautious when removing the supports as they can easily break out a tooth, but fortunately, sharks do lose their teeth!
