Shark Fin for a Dachshund

Admit it! You've always dreamed of topping off your dachshund's look with a shark fin ! Or maybe that's just me. Thanks to 3D printing, you can finally make it happen. Just print and paint it - easy as pie. The shark fin itself was designed from a picture of the real deal using www.smoothie-3d.com, then converted into an STL file. Next up, the STL file got scaled way up in Slic3r to 1000 times its original size, and a few millimeters were carefully trimmed off the bottom to create a flat base. This modified STL file was saved, then taken into 123D Design where some holes for straps were cleverly added. The updated STL file was sliced again in Slic3r with a .2mm thickness and 10% fill rate, all to ensure it would print up nice and light.
