Shark Byte Keypad Holder

Shark Byte Keypad Holder

It always struck me that the keypad for adjusting the settings directly on a Shark Byte VTX is a bit vulnerable, and you don't want a loose unprotected board so close to the VTX & FC when they're powered up. So I set to and designed this folding holder for the keypad, mainly as a distraction from being unable to go out and fly because my leg muscles are in pain and I struggle to even walk as a result from my jab 8 weeks ago. Print in TPU at 0.2mm layer height, 3 perimeters or 100% infill, no support. Installation instructions: 1) Without the keypad in, fold over and clip the holder closed with the top held down by the sides to understand how it 'assembles', then unfold it for the next step.. 2) Unplug the cable from the keypad. 3) Insert keypad into the bottom half of the print. 4) Fold the top over and press the pins into the holes at the bottom edge. 5) Press down on the TPU so it sits snug around LED display, joystick and button. 6) Pull the sides out and over so they're flush with the top and everything's sat into place properly. 7) Plug the cable back in.
