Shapeshifter lampshade (***redesigned for no support printing)
thingiverse
Remixed version of a gorgeous table lamp bracket. The issue with original models lies in the fact that they collapse under their own weight at around 45 degrees and so tend to slip due to excessive material stress. The remade model was crafted by extending it upwards vertically from the original design, subsequently amending the base part to accommodate my 140 height restriction of Flashforge 3D Dreamer. I attempted to use myself AutoCAD Shapeshifter (http://www.123dapp.com/sandbox) but was unable to recreate a shape and smoothness anywhere near what you've achieved with the original lamp. Notes The bright yellow model represents the exact prototype, while the navy blue rendition is reduced in scale by half, 100x100, resulting in significantly compromised print quality. Print Settings Rafts: Yes Supports: No Resolution: 0.3mm Additional Notes: Four exterior layers of external material to guarantee a completely solid construct. The total length of used material reaches an astonishing thirty-two meters and the entire process lasted for ten hours.
