Shapeoko Touch Probe Holder

Shapeoko Touch Probe Holder

thingiverse

I designed yet another holder for the Carbide 3D Shapeoko touch probe. While there are various other holders available, none of them met my requirements for something that can hold the probe securely at multiple orientations - my Shapeoko is on a wheeled cart and stored vertically when not in use. This one uses an alligator clip to ensure the probe cannot fall out of the holder regardless of orientation or jostling from moving the cart around. I used double-stick tape to attach this, but the design could easily be modified to add screw holes or a small indent for best application of 3M Command adhesive strips. I also created a mockup for the touch probe itself, which you can see at OnShape: https://cad.onshape.com/documents/95f708fbad1d06509d108bf7/w/2b550d5e745a695213cc89f4/e/b0538e313174cea1b3d5eb7d
