Has your Z-Probe cable come loose?\r\n====\r\n\r\nTry installing this replacement cable.\r\n====\r\n\r\nWhen I unboxed my Shapeoko Probe, I noticed that the cable had a strain relief sleeve, but it had popped out of its designated slot. The grey 3D printed cover plate at the bottom of the unit provided a large volume for the back of the strain relief. I guess this design seemed like a good idea, maybe they used a slightly different cable originally, but now it allows the cable to fall out and increases the chance of the soldered joints on the internal PCB breaking.\r\n\r\nI created this replacement in Fusion 360, using dimensions from the original part and from the slot in the side of the probe. I added a little extra clearance on the holes for the M3 machine screws, as most printers close up small holes slightly.\r\n\r\nIt's best to print this at high resolution, maybe with dynamic layer heights etc., if you have that option available, as the filler section at the top is a bit tricky to get right due to its size. If you can slow down at the end of the print, it would help.\r\n\r\nInfill can be very small, I used 5% gyroid in Cura, with 0.15mm layer height, UM Tough PLA, and no support.\r\n\r\nThe black part shown was actually an earlier version, printed with the 0.8mm print core and with corner fillets that were slightly too sharp to fit. It is shown only for general comparison with the OEM grey part.
