I built a massive shapeoko, combining it with OpenBuilds rails - hindsight being 20/20, I should've started with the OpenBuilds system from the get-go. However, I wanted to provide extra support for the Y rails, so I created this custom piece by merging OpenBuilds source files. My plan is to simply tap the sides to attach a shield on each of these three rail supports. I'll upload better photos in a few days.
