Shapeoko Dust Boot

This design is still evolving as I print it out in real-time. I based this creation on the HSCPRO1 model, crafting it from scratch using Fusion 360 to merge two small 1" hoses into one large 2.5" vac port. With this redesign, you can easily attach a direct 2.5" flexible dust collection hose or insert your standard 2.5" shop vac hose. This version is also more compact with a narrower width of 4.5" at the front. The Front Window was meticulously designed in Fusion 360 using .220" thickness acrylic. I deliberately chose neodymium magnets available at Home Depot, branded as Magnet Source #0745, which measure .315" diameter and .118" thick. The nut fixture is strategically placed on the back of the carriage plate, encasing M5 nuts so you only need to use one allen wrench to adjust the height of this dust boot. To ensure optimal strength, print this with 50% infill and a wall count of three. For successful printing, orient the main body so the mounting tabs are flat on the bed. Print the rear plenum standing up with its front end down on the bed, using supports and a Brim for adhesion.
