Shapeoko Dust Boot for Makita router
thingiverse
This is a dust boot for my Shapeoko 3 using a Makita router. The design consists of two parts that fit together via push fits (though it's possible the printer may differ). Cutouts are also included to accommodate magnets, but I found they weren't necessary in my setup. Underneath, there's a slot where I initially glued a rubber strip. However, this got sucked in and destroyed by the router during operation. To solve this issue, I added a short piece of rubber strip and then attached EVA foam to its exterior using hot glue. While it may not be the most sophisticated solution, it works effectively. The vac fitting is compatible with my Festo hose, so you might need to remix or create an adapter for your specific setup. This design was created by remixing a Thingiverse model and adding a removable skirt feature. You can view the original at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2800942.
