Assembling the Shapeoko requires a clear understanding of its various components and tools. First, remove all items from the box, including the CNC machine itself, the carriage system, the spindle assembly, the X-axis gantry, the Y-axis gantry, the Z-axis gantry, and the waste board. Next, attach the motor mounts to the CNC machine's frame using the provided screws. Then, attach the belt tensioner to the spindle assembly and tighten it securely. After that, install the end stops on the X- and Y-axis gantries, making sure they are properly aligned with the carriage system. Finally, attach the Z-axis gantry to the CNC machine's frame, followed by the X- and Y-axis gantries. Once all components are attached, plug in the power cord and turn on the Shapeoko. The machine will then go through a series of self-tests before it is ready for use.
