Shapeoko 3 Sharpie Adapter
thingiverse
I live in a world where modeling and 3D printing solutions are surprisingly easy to create, yet finding the perfect rubber band is a daunting task. I've just assembled my Shapeoko 3 and was eager to put it through its paces, but first things first - I needed a reliable way to attach an Ultra-Fine Sharpie, preferably one that could draw precise smileys, letters, CAD designs with ease. To tackle this problem, I designed a prototype, which surprisingly worked flawlessly after minimal touch-ups. I documented my progress on YouTube for those interested in witnessing the magic firsthand. The printing details for this model are as follows: rafts were unnecessary, supports were required but proved to be manageable, a resolution of 0.3mm provided more than adequate precision, and an infill of 30% sufficed for the task at hand. Post-printing procedures included cleaning off supports, inserting the Ultra-Fine Sharpie into its designated slot on the router mount (remember to ensure screws are securely in place), giving it a twist to ensure a snug fit, and finally plotting away to unleash the creative possibilities.
