Shapeoko 3 Dust Boot

Shapeoko 3 Dust Boot

thingiverse

This is a dust boot designed specifically for the Shapeoko 3 or DeWalt DWP611 routers. The boot wraps snugly around the router, securing it firmly with a side clamp that allows easy access to the lock button while also enabling quick removal of the sole with thumb screws. This design feature lets you remove the sole and leave the boot in place. I was not satisfied with the dust boots I found on the market (and purchased) because many use two screws that secure the DWP611 lock button housing, which aren't strong enough to hold the boot firmly in my opinion, risking damage to the button housing if too much force is applied. Without access to the lock button, you're essentially stuck. Edit: A smaller area sole has been added for improved performance. Print Settings: Printer: Ike:Core Rafts: No Supports: No Infill: 80% Notes: I printed mine at 80% infill and .25mm layer height with a .35 nozzle. Two M5 6mm brass inserts were used for the side clamp, while four M5 5mm brass inserts were used to hold the sole in place. That dust boot is incredibly robust when printed at 80% infill, weighing heavily but also being extremely strong and durable.
