I gave the design a quick makeover, adjusting the inner spacing to fit snugly with the Makita router without needing any extra spacers. The new dimensions were printed out and put to the test - it fits like a glove. Since I was missing the right size brass inserts, I opted for a simple solution: drilling straight through the sole plate and using M5 hardware instead.
