Shapeoko 2 Limit Switch Mounts
thingiverse
Limit Switch Mounts for All Axes Available. Four mounting holes allow for easy installation in any orientation, providing stability and dependability. Lengthwise, this part matches the rail width of a maker slide perfectly, thus eliminating the risk of self-rotation. Tapering down at its sides allows seamless integration without interference from V-wheels required for +Z axis placement. Instructions Provided. Two STL files are included: One with holes sized for an M3 tap and another featuring M3 clearance holes. Choose the correct one to fit your specific needs. To get started, mill out the file containing holes suitable for tapping with an M3 drill bit. Next, create M3 threads using a standard thread-cutting tool or an endmill. For switch clearance holes, simply drill them out using an appropriate drill bit. One 1/8-inch washer is recommended between the limit switch and the mount. Materials can vary, but clear acrylic is suggested for a visually appealing result.
