Description: This shape-shifting wheel transforms seamlessly from a round tire shape to a track drive triangular shape, all controlled by drivers and constraints. It's not rigged, and the main shape of the wheel is adjusted via the controller, which drives a shape key of a curve that gives the belt of the tire its shape. The local rotation of two controllers mainly drives the base of the tire, and the whole tire has a parent object so it can be animated. It features a pseudo-hydraulic system that controls the position of the tire by having hydraulic arms parented to opposite sides of the main controller and constrained to their counterpart. This system does not use bones or poses, instead using curves hooked to parent objects. The controller can be engaged from 0 to 100, and the shape behaves accordingly. Included: 1. Animation: Basic modification of local location of the belts in an axis so they wrap around the curve. 2. Materials: Every material as seen in the thumbnail, compatible with Eevee and Cycles (procedurally created via a node system in Blender 2.83). These materials are not baked into images. 3. Scene: Native .blend The scene and lighting setup used in the thumbnail, including the compose setup of denoising and ambient occlusion. 1. Exchange files: This does not support the shape controller or animation but includes both shapes in individual files for exchange. Fbx, Stl, Glb, Obj I'm by no means a mechanic or engineer, so I apologize if this weird contraption offends anyone. It's meant to be used as a futuristic piece of tech.
