SHAKER INSPIRED BENCH
thingiverse
Simcha Davis's CNC-cut furniture features traditional designs with 11 precisely measured pieces, each one or two inches thick. To ensure a perfect fit, the varying wood thickness and potential warping must be considered. Initially, a quarter-inch upcut drill bit was used; however, it was replaced by a more effective half-inch upcut drill bit for better cutting results, especially on thicker materials. A new collet is recommended to prevent the heavy bit from falling out of place. Measurements must be continuously taken and adjusted if multiple pieces are being cut. The zigzag seat and table pieces have small gaps between their teeth; however, this can be easily adjusted in the file for a snug fit.
