Shake Away

I thought it would interesting to tackle a problem most men have encountered at least once in their life. A problem that can result in shame and embarrassment, and at the very worst, some clothes that need washing. My design is basically a collapsible tube that compresses for storage in a pocket. It’s a hygiene product for men to allow for cleaner urination and clean up after. It’s mainly to assist in “shaking off” after voiding of the bladder, to prevent any droplets from landing on your clean clothes. I find that most men experience this issue from time to time. Especially when wearing khakis or a suit. It can cleanly and discreetly collapses into the provided cap and then slipped into a pocket after use. It utilizes the paper products available in the bathroom (or can store some in it) and holds them in a manner that allows for easy disposal after use. Basically we have all seen men in the bathroom at career fairs and interviews frantically trying to dab the droplets off their suit and sometimes just after zipping up. It’s a very first world problem but I feel that some people would get use out of it. So basically it’s an after urination shield. I will design at least 2 variations of the product. Both reusable but one that collapses and one that compresses. Both will utilize a way to hold a paper product that will be removed and either flushed or thrown away after use. The method for this will be a rubber band to hold in a sanitary manner or simply stuffed in the tube before using the facilities. I have no idea where I would begin marketing such a thing, but that’s kind of why I think it’s perfect for this contest.
