Parametric Shaft collar with grub screw hole for Toranado Precision Gear Extruder v2 Initial dimensions: OD: 13mm ID: 5mm Height: 6mm Variable dimensions: inside diameter outside diameter height set screw diameter Thanks for doing the hard work Printbus! Print Settings Printer: POLYPRINTER 229 Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: .3mm Infill: 100% Notes: Update: I changed the infill to 100% because I found it was much too easy to strip the grub screw hole at 50%. You can still strip it at 100%, so don't over-tighten it. I use my thumb and forefinger (pointer) to turn a small hex driver until it's tight. Sliced with Kisslicer, and printing speed slider was all the way to "precise". Even with printing eight pieces, it only took about thirty minutes. Post-Printing For best results, tap the grub screw hole with an M3 x 0.5 tap. How I Designed This I forgot to order a shaft collar for my Toranado and needed this last piece to finish the assembly. I couldn't locate the printed part STL file, and not being one with a lot of patience, I decided to design one. While it would have been quite easy to design this in SolidWorks, 123, or pretty much any other 3D modeling program, I saw the Parametric Shaft Collar by Printbus had done in OpenSCAD and decided to use this as an opportunity to learn more. I used the scad file from the Parametric Shaft Collar by Printbus which was well documented and modified it to meet my needs. I changed the clamp method to use a 3mm grub screw instead of an external screw and nut. Custom Section Support your local Makerspace!
