Shadow Theater - fairy tales bundle
thingiverse
This is a project my kids love. The concept revolves around printing silhouettes of diverse shapes with a built-in stick holder, then projecting them onto the wall using a flashlight, creating an interactive shadow theater experience. Our sets will be made up of basic shapes, allowing any story to unfold. This specific set is tailored for telling fairy tales, featuring characters like the witch, fairy, princess, dragon, knight, and castle. Each model has a 3mm recess designed specifically for inserting a stick. Initially, I aimed to keep the designs under 6cm in size, but certain shapes wouldn't have worked well at that scale. Consequently, some of the silhouettes will be slightly larger than intended, with one dimension exceeding 6cm. All models are crafted to be 1mm thick. Here's a breakdown of my design process: For most parts, I relied heavily on online resources: - For image sourcing, I used various websites. - http://www.df3d.com helped me create extrusions from simple images. - http://www.tinkercad.com came in handy for designing the stick holder with a 3mm hole.
