The spaceship was designed and built specifically for the 2019 GrabCAD Spaceship Design Challenge. Details on its construction can be found in the attached file, labeled "Shadow" - a comprehensive document outlining all relevant contest requirements and specifications. Conceived by military minds as a covert assault platform, the Shadow was engineered with a cutting-edge subspace drive capable of seamlessly hiding the vessel in an alternate dimension. Initially employed to launch unexpected attacks against extraterrestrial threats, however, no such alien presence was discovered after conducting extensive scans - thus rendering its military application null and void. Following decommissioning by their respective authorities, the majority of these ships were taken off active duty and sold commercially on the civilian market, sans their subspace drives. Some rogue operatives reportedly still manage to lay their hands on functioning models of this stealth-enabled craft, giving them an unwelcome advantage over their peers by staying effectively invisible to detection systems. This ship itself makes strategic use of retractable wings, albeit strictly as a component enhancing its stereo targeting system's performance rather than permitting atmospheric flight capabilities. These wing additions essentially amplified the optical units' baseline distances to further solidify this sophisticated technology's place among its contemporaries.
